The goal of the study was to perform secondary research, looking up data and statistics in the health and fitness domains, evaluating what direct competitors are doing, and performing an heuristic evaluation and an audit of the app, in order to determine strengths/weaknesses and to formulate a hypothesis and explore ways on how to improve the iOS Health app with the end goal of increasing the number of daily active users.
Challenge
Improving the App and finding ways to improve DAU
Outcome
Coming up with a hypothesis for how the DAU can be improved as well as creating the flows and design for the proposed solution.
Impact
Improved DAU by showing users their familiar apps and devices along some of the data they collect in a custom tailored screen, to create transparency and relevance. Allowing users to interact with their data collection points (apps, devices etc.) straight from the Health app, to improve retention.
